We are into our second week for Jump Rope for Heart. Last week we raised $682 of our $3,000 goal. Please remember that you can raise money online or with the envelopes sent home last Tuesday. If you need any more information please contact me by email at All money packets should be returned by Wednesday, February 15. Third and Fourth grade students staying for the Jump for Heart event need their permission slip (attached to the collection envelope) returned by next Tuesday, February 14. I ask that each student raise at least $10 to stay.

The next submission date is March 1st and we’d love to have as many BOX TOPS to submit as possible. Please between now and February 24th, clip and send into your classroom as many as you can and then we will get them submitted before the deadline!! SOPHOMORES will tour Scott Tech on Wednesday, Feb. 22, from 12:45-2:05. Any juniors that want to attend Health Occupations next year see Ms. Nelson as you will be allowed to tour again if you would like to. 

 High School! The mobile dentist will be here February 23rd and 24th. Forms are in the office for anyone interested.

Exchange Scholarship Applications are in my office. This is a paper application you must pick up, fill out, and return to Ms. Nelson by March 15. All seniors are eligible to apply



Thursday, February 2nd, we took 22 Proficiency Applications to the Area 11 Screening where winners were picked for 47 different proficiency areas. Our students worked incredibly hard on these applications and their Supervised Agricultural Experiences to be able to compete. We ended the night with 13 of our applications in the top 3. The results were: Brenden Kleiboeker- 1st Place Fiber and Oil Crop Production Cooper George- 1st Place Food Services Donell Kleiboeker- 1st Place Forage Production Ty Roethemeier-1st Place Grain Production Placement Tate Henderson- 1st Place Wildlife Management Ty Roethemeier-2nd Place Diversified Agricultural Production Ty Roethemeier- 2nd Place Diversified Crop Production Hannah Argyris- 2nd Place Equine Science Placement Jonna Brottlund- 2nd Place Food Science and Technology Suzie Velten- 3rd Place Agricultural Sales Placement Dallas Kleiboeker- 3rd Place Environmental Science and Natural Resources Mgmt. Noah Aust- 3rd Place Forest Management Brenden Kleiboeker- 3rd Place Agricultural Services Congratulations to each of these students! The five that won first place will compete at the state level in their proficiency area.
