The Ultimate 50/50 Raffle

The Pierce City Athletic Department would like to offer you the chance at an amazing prize! The odds of winning the Powerball lottery are 1 in 175 million. You statistically have a better chance of being struck by lightning. Even the chances of winning a smaller prize ($10,000) are 1 in 650,000. We are going to offer you better odds. How would you like a 1 in 200 chance of winning up to $10,000???

From now until February 17th, the Athletic Department will be selling tickets for a 50/50 raffle. Each ticket costs $100. Only 200 will be sold. On Boys' Basketball Senior Night, at halftime of the Varsity game we will draw one name and that lucky individual will walk away with up to $10,000!

If you would like to purchase a ticket, contact Crystal Charles, High School History Teacher at ccharles@pcschools.net or call 417-476-2515.

Pierce City School District APR Yields Excellent Results!

The District achieved a 93.6% on our APR! Meaning we earned a 93.6% out of 140 possible points for the various standards last year and shows a 3.2% increase from 2013! Not only does this score indicate improvement but we also finished with the highest point total in our conference! Note from Superintendent, Russ Moreland: "This is no doubt a positive reflection on each and every member of our staff who has made a positive difference in our school and it’s greatly appreciated. I am a firm believer that if we have a positive learning environment, caring staff members and a commitment to continuous improvement we will continue to see positive results on the state accountability reports."

The 2013-2014 Pierce City "As The Prophecy Goes" Yearbooks are in!

Yearbooks are being distributed during lunch. If your child has not received their Yearbook and has paid, they may be picked up in Mrs. Gunnels room #311 before or after school. If you had ordered a yearbook but did not pay, there are extra yearbooks, but are limited. If you have any questions or are interested in purchasing previous years', contact Mrs. Gunnels at kgunnels@pcschools.net.
